  1. IF GRUDINGLY THE DHOTIWALAS HAD ACCEPTED TO HONOUR THE VALOUR OF THE BRAVE INDIAN WARRIORS WHO FOUGHT TO THE LAST MAN AND BULLET DESPITE POORLY EQUIPPED , FED AND ARMED THE PRESIDENT AND PRIME MINISTER SHOULD HAVE LED THE COUNCIL OF MINISTERS TO THE INDIA GATE MEMORIAL TO LAY THE WREATH. THE OFFICERS AND MEN DID NOT FAIL THE NATION A PM SURROUNDED BY A COURTIER INTELLEGENCE CHIEF, A MEDDLING BRILLANT BUT BIASED DEFENCE MINISTER AND LAST BUT NOT THE LEAST THE POMPOUS SELF SERVING GENERALS BROUGHT DEFEAT AND SHAME ON THE WORLD WAR TWO BATTLE HARDENED ARMY

  2. A fitting salute to the braves would be to undo the prophecy of bureaucratic dictate on military affairs. Alas we failed there and thus the IAS and the political class gets away with warped policies. The cat is being belled by the retired and some of the civvies...yet the strategy of the IAS to do to the armed forces what they did to the Policing force of India i.e filling it up with substandard personnel so that their dictates can be fulfilled thru the weapon of SC/ST/OBC class segmentation, poor wages , and carrot dangling for post retirement governor jobs making it an uncomfortable carrier for a professional can only be thwarted by the higher echelons of the forces by not succumbing to it.
