2013 end is the new delivery date for the much delayed
Russian-built aircraft carrier Admiral Gorshkov. In his address ahead of the
Navy Day on December 4, Admiral DK Joshi said that the warship should be in the
Indian Navy's flotilla.
"Amongst the overseas projects, there has been a delay
in the delivery of Vikramaditya, which has sailed for more than 100 days in the
recent past and completed a majority of her equipment and aviation trials. The
revised schedule envisages the delivery of the ship in the last quarter of
2013," Admiral Joshi said.
